Here is a classifieds, EBay, Craigslist type email scam that is going around. Notice that the scammer doesn’t ever mention the product or the price of the item being sold. That is done so they can mass email these scams hoping to trick someone into a reply. Here is what the scam looks like:

Hello Seller,
Thanks for your fast reply about the Item and buying from you well I
will like you to give me the last price of the Item, also I will like
you to go ahead and calculate the Shipping Fees to my Son Address via
DHL Courier Service (2-3 days Delivery) to my Son Address below and
also I will like you to give me the Total cost of the item with the
DHL Shipping Fees to my Son Address below and I will like you to
provide me your Full Bank Details as listed below for the Payment to
be made.

We have received reports of a scammer on EBay selling a 2006 Big Dog Mastiff, a buyer caught on to him and called him out on the scam.  The scammer got angry and sent an email to them titled “This is for you”  when the buyer openned the email the icons on their screen disappeared.  Be very carefull when buying items on EBay especially if the seller seems overly eager to get the payment.  I believe the scammer contacted previous bidders who didn’t win the original bid saying the other buyer couldn’t make payment to by-pass Ebay.
